Homemade rice krispie treats

I would have never thought I would eat this kind of food. But its perfect after a hard workout and replenishes the body very quick. I can feel the difference.

Ingredients
4 tablespoons butter
1 package (10 oz., about 40) JET-PUFFED Marshmallows
3 scoops of chocolate whey protein
6 cups Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal

Directions

1. In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
2. Add the protein powder and then the rice krispies. Stir until well coated.
3. Using buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with butter or cooking spray. Cool. Cut into portions.

 

I will tweak the carb to protein ratio a little more to get closer to 2:1. I wasn’t able to incorporate all 7 scoops of protein and none of the pudding since I was afraid it wont stick. About 3 cups of chocolate whey made it in. The pudding was just for flavor. I think I can tweak it a little more. It would just be good to have that as a portable snack after a workout or some extremer weekend sports.

 

Currently coming in with 377 calories, 8g fat, 63g carbs, 15g protein for 6 servings.
